Sobig hurt in box
r.V.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON. [ The Santa Rosa stallion. Sobig, the most successful New Zealandbred sire lor many years, was injured recentlv. Mr G. A. Mitchell, whose family' owns Sobig and runs Santa Rosa, said at Trentham on Saturday that the horse had injured himself in his box last Thursday. X-rays. Mr Mitchell said, showed a fracture of the lower near hock and torn ligaments. Veterinarians considered, however that Sobig should be able to continue stud duty next spring.
