Swim aid for children

A tailor-made swimming aid ideal for young children has been produced by the Streetly Manufacturing Co. of Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire, in England.

The Eureka mini swimming training aid has been made by the company’s rotational moulding department. It is designed to give efficient positive buoyancy to instil confidence when a child first enters the water. The aid is made in lowdensity polythylene in a hollow form, enabling it to float. It has rounded edges and hand grips at either end.

The Eureka can be used in two ways, depending on the skill of the young swimmer. Horizontally it assists the swimmer to keep his head and arms above water, and vertically, it enables the more experienced swimmer to develop more proficiency in his leg strokes.
