Export beef prices fall
The export schedule for beef has been reduced again after the general reduction of 4c a kilogram a week ago. The latest reductions range from 1c to 3c, with an odd category unaffected. For most classes the decline is 2c or 3c. The prices which will apply from Monday are:— Ox and heifer beef.—Chiller: 1, up to 220 kilograms, ox 61c and heifer 59c per kilogram; 2, 221 to 270 kg, 65e and 63c; 3. 271 to 340 kg, 67c and 65e; 4. over 340 kg, 67c and 65c. G.A.Q.: 1, up to 220 kg 59e and 57c; 2. 221 to 270 kg, 63c and 61c; 3, 271 to 340 kg. 65c and 63c; 4, over 340 kg, 65c and 63c. F.A.Q.: 1. up to 220 kg, 56c and 55c; 2, 221 to 270 kg. 58c and 57c; 3. 271 to 340 kg. 60c and 57c; 4, over 340 kg, 60c and 57c. Cow beef.—G.A.Q. I grade 1: up to 200 kg, 57c; over 200 kg, 59c. G.A.Q.: up to 140 kg. 49c; over 140 kg, 57c. F.A.Q.: up to 140 kg. 43c; over 140 kg. 50c. Trimmer grade (ox. heifer and cow I.—l. all w eights. 36c. Manufacturing grade (ox, heifer and cow). —1, up to 140 kg. 43c; 2. over 140 kg. 50c. Bull beef.—Manufacturing.' 1, up to 180 kg 54c; 2. 181 to 260 kg. 63c; 3. over 260 kg. 69c F.A.Q.: 1. up to 200 kg. 54c; 2. over 200 kg, 54c.
