Youth titles in Spain

Both the classes and the venue, of the world youth yachting championship this year have been changed. Because of political unrest, Venezuela is not able to host the series, and it has been transferred to the Nautico Costa Brava Yacht Club, in Palamos, Spain. The country in which the contest is held traditionally chooses the type of boats to| be used in (he two-man and monotype division. Spain has told the International Yacht Racing Union of its preference for the 420 and International Moth, rather than the 470 and Laser that had been Venezuela’s selection. New Zealand will be represented only in the two-man section, by the national J.C. class title-holders, M. Jones and S. Macras (Wellington).
