! WELLINGTON. March 7. Public Service Association I representatives will fly to iTwizel and Te Anau tomorirow to recommend that construction workers on hydro- | electric projects there end | their dispute on overtime -and allowances.
The president of the P.S.A. (Mr J. A. Batt) led a delegation which met with the Minister of Labour (Mr Watt) at Parliament earlv this evening. After the meeting, he said a formula had been discussed and agreed on with Mr Watt -which he hoped would settle the dispute. Mr Batt would not give any details of what had been discussed. or of the proposals for settling the dispute, until the association’s recommendations had been put to the men on the site.
The permanent Ministry of Works employees at the two projects are seeking higher overtime payments and allowances to bring them into line with wage workers on |the sites.
