Right to toplessness
An outraged mother in Audi, France, who shot and wounded a neighbour with an air pistol because she was sunbathing - topless in her garden was fined 1300 francs (about $185) yesterday. The defendant said that she lost control of herself because her moral principles were outraged, but a lawyer for the wounded woman submitted successfully that his client had every right to sun- ■ bathe topless in her own garden.—Auch, March 7.
