A booklet with advice on keeping the New Zealand countryside a pleasant place is now available. The booklet, “Country Code,” is published by the Nature Conservation Council It sets out 10 points that should be noted for those travelling in the countryside These urge travellers to respect the country wav of life: take no risks when lighting fires: leave gates as thev find them: avoid damaging fences: keen dogs under proner control: take care with firearms: leave no litter: protect flora and fauna: camn tidilv: and dHve carefully on country roads.
