No landmarks had yet been
reached in the setting up of i the proposed New Zealand Hall of Social History Trust at Greymouth, according to the Mayor of Greymouth (Mr O. H. Jackson). The inaugural dinner of the trust was held on November 9 with the intention of raising money for the hal. which will feature displays and tableaux. pictures, photographs, documents, relics, and mementoes of early West Coasters
Mr Jackson said yesterday that architects were working on the design of the new iGreymouth civic centre complex. of which the hall will ibe a dominant feature. He said that discussions were being held with the [vice-presidents of the trust about wavs of raising monev for the hall, which will be i financed both by Government •grant and public subscripI tion.
