Far inlets sold

(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, Feb. Two farmlets at Coal Creek near Greymouth were sold on behalf of Mr and Mrs C. D. MacDonald at public auction on Saturday. A unit of 28 acres of land, together with a house at the junction of the main West-port-Greymouth highway and the Taylorville road sold for $19,500, a price which was $lOO an acre higher than any sold in the area in recent years. The unit was sold to a Canterbury buyer. The second block—on the highway, near the Willowbank Motels—fetched $18,600. It comprises 19 acres. a house and a cottage, land was bought by a public I servant. The auctioneers were E. V. Arthur and Son, Greymouth.
