' (N.Z, Press Association > WELLINGTON. The final of the national women’s bowling pairs championships will be held at the Berhampore green, Wellington, today.

The final, between Barbara Kunicich (Bayswater) and Elsie Wilkie (Walton), ' was originally to have been held yesterday, but. bad weather forced a postponement.

In an unprecedented move I bowling administrators decided to cancel the national singles championships. Greens were too soggy for play on Friday, and on Saturday all venues were covered bv water. When the tournament controllers received 84 withdrawals from the singles they decided to call the championships off.

Polo.—Poverty Bay beat Hawke’s Bav 9-8. In an exciting final of the Dewar Cup polo tournament at Hastings on Saturday.
