Opera asset sold
(N.Z. Preus Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 17. The opera centre in Wellington has been sold for more than $60,000. The centre was passed in at auction on Friday, but was later sold to a buyer on the condition that he found suitable lessees within 10 days. A spokesman for the New Zealand Opera Company said that he considered the price reasonable.
The company had been leasing the centre to the New Zealand Ballet, but decided last year to sell and invest the proceeds.
