Yates’ profit much higher
r.N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 15. The unaudited group net profit of Arthur Yates and Companv, Ltd. rose 22.4 per cent to $286,000 in the year to November 30, the directors say in a preliminary report. Sales, which were expected to rise by more than $1 to $9, rose to slo.lm. double the increase for the previous year. The return on shareholders’ funds fell from 10.4 to 10.2 per cent. The directors have recommended a final 7| per cent dividend, payable on April 5, making a total of llj per cent for the year. | per cent higher than for the previous year.
