Oil tipped out
British authorities have estimated that British motorists who change their own oil throw out 14,500,000 gallons of dirtv oil every year. A lot of this oil is poured into the soil, or tipped down the drains, the Britilsh Automobile Association says. Nearly all the old oil could be re-refined and used again, and garages and local bodies in Britain are stepping up their efforts to encourage motorists to take their used oil to collecting depots.
