Ford talks of rationing

Press Assn—Copyright) DETROIT, February 10. ■ Vice-President Gerald Ford said last night that there might be “no alternative" to petrol rationing if the Arab embargo on oil exports to the United States went on much longer. The Vice-President was ( speaking at a Michigan Re-1 publican dinner during al three-city tour that was expected to raise §NZ269.800i for the state party organisa-' tion. Assessing the energy situation. Mr Ford said that the Administration was doing all it could to minimise the shortages and to develop! domestic resources so that: petrol rationing could be! avoided.
