Lake Pukaki village

(From Our Own Reporter) GERALDINE. Feb. 10. The proper planning of a tourist village at Lake Pukaki is a subject of national importance, says the Department of Lands and Survey in a letter received by the Mackenzie , County Council. The department considers the Pukaki locality a prime one, and a planning team has been set up to undertake the planning of the tourist village to the highest standards. Tire department has assured the council that planning is proceeding, and says that the planning team will be in Fairlie about February 19 or 20 for consultations.
