Banking enterprise

Barclays Bank International Ltd. Tozer Kemsley and Millbourn (Holdings)' Ltd. and Lazard Brothers and Company Ltd have received the approval of the Soviet Union Government and the State Bank of the U.S.S.R. to open a representative office in Moscow. This will be the first British banking organisation .to receive permission to operate in the Soviet Union. The' three partners have formed a new company, to be known as Barclays Tozer Ltd. in which Barclays and T.K.M. each have a 40 per cent share, hazards holding 20 per cent. The aim is to foster trade and economic development between Russia and her associated countries and the rest of the world,: including the developing countries.—London, February 5.
