Mtr Holds promises “excellent result”
The results of Motor Holdings, Ltd, for the three months to December 31 and forward transactions confirm that the company can be assured of “excellent” results for the year to March 31, the chair- | man (Mr B. P. Hopkins) says in a letter to shareholders.
In the report, sent with the steady interim dividend of 3c a share (6 per cent) he says that the momentum I should continue into the early part of the next financial year. However, important factors will be vehicle and component supplies and the securing of shipping. I “We are confident of selling I all we can land, but we are | very much in the hands of [’manufacturers and shippers. | “As we obtain our prod-! ucts from four countries and are in negotiation with a | fifth, we see strength in not having our whole structure reliant upon the economy of
.one country or even one part of the world,” Mr Hopkins says. “The group is now in a very sound liquid situation and well able to finance internally al) deals necessary through Pacific Investment, Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary. “We can, assure you of a substantially increased profit for the current year. While all business will be concerned about the effect on trading of ; external pressures, both from (overseas and as a result of (government measures, we beI lieve the group is in a strong (position to meet them,” Mr ! Hopkins says.
