Open house at W.E.A.

The Canterbury Workers’ Education Association will keep open house at its centre, 59 Gloucester Street, during the Commonwealth Games period says a news release. The W.E.A. wants visitors to Christchurch who are interested in adult education to know that the centre’s facilities will be available to the public for 12 hours a day for the duration of the Games.

The centre is conveniently situated next to the N.A.C. freight depot, opposite the Canterbury Society of Arts gallery. Visitors to the centre may use the telephone, write letters or read newspapers. Tea and coffee, supplied by hostesses, will be served.

The open invitation is the W.E.A.’s effort to welcome visitors and enable them to meet others with interests in common.
