Drama about strange death of millionaire

James Farentino stars in a drama, “Cool Million,” just after 9 p.m. on Saturday. He takes the role of a private investigator who becomes involved in the strange death of one of the world’s richest men, whose vast fortune is left to a daughter said to have vanished and died years ago. The drama features John Vernon, Barbara Bouchet, Jackie Coogan, Christine Belford and Lila Kedrova, and a special guest, Patrick O’Neal. Jefferson Keyes (Farentino) is offered a million-dol-lar fee to locate the heiress of a $5O million fortune

when her father dies under mysterious circumstances. Carla Miles (Miss Bouchet), the man’s long-time companion, contests the will, claiming to have been married to him secretly. Keyes becomes involved with Inspector Duprez (Vernon), of Interpol, and Merrill H. Cossack (Coogan) a retired movie maker. His investigation leads 1 Keyes to Adrienne (Miss ■ Belford), said to be the ! missing daughter suffering ■ from amnesia; Mme. Martine : (Miss Kedrova), head mistress of the private school ■ from which the girl supposedly disappeared; and Dr ; Emile Snow (O’Neal), who is treating her.
