Ships set record

The combined tonnage of vessels berthed at the Lyttelton Harbour Board’s wharves yesterday was a record for the port. The figure was 142.672 tons, and did not include the tonnage of two vessels anchored in thej stream. included in the total were the naval vessels at present alongside the wharves.
