Wool firm at Napier

(Neu;- Zealand Press Association) NAPIER. January 28. Prices were firm the first day' of the Napier wool sale today compared with the Dunedin sale last week.

Fleece of good length, good style, and well prepared was in sellers’ favour to slightly dearer. The offering of 25,470 bales was 35 per cent full fleece, 30 per cent secondshear and early shorn, 15 per cent lambs’ wool, and 20 per cent oddments. The official report said that competition was general, the Continent and New Zealand carpet mills being the main buyers. Most wools showed more dust than usual, but were mainly of good scouring ■colour. Some lambs’ wool I was of mixed length, as were some of the oddments. On Wednesday 27,448 bales of greasy wool will be< offered.
