Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. A Tongan national charged In the Magistrate’s Court with staying in New Zealand beyond the expirv of his permit on July.2B'was threatened by Mr H. Y. Gilliand, S.M., with other charges if he had not left the country before February 7. Sione Tuiva Taai, also known as Aisea Mafi, aged 23. a seaman, who pleaded guilty, said he had an air ticket to Suva and a boat from there to Tonga, and he would like to “go home under my own steam.” He said he could leave in two weeks. The Magistrate convicted him and remanded him until February 7. “I then expect you to have gone,” he said. “If vou haven’t there are other charges you will have to face as well as this one.”
