Watch on O’Sullivan
“The Press" Special Service ADELAIDE. The bowling action of D. R. O'Sullivan in the Austiralian first innings of the I third test seems to be attraci ■ ing unusual interest from lone of the Australian I umpires. When O’Sullivan began bowling on Saturday to two right-handers, the umpire. Mr
P. Enright, watched several balls from square leg, and then changed to point. He followed this practice throughout the innings.
i Asked if there were anv i significance in his standing ■at the point, Mr Enright said (that it was the usual place I from which to look at a leftlarmer’s action. [ In answer to a queston i whether he was concerned about O’Sullivan’s action, Mr Enright waved his hands in the manner of a French politician, and said nothing. Some years ago, O’Sullivan’s action was examined closely by the special subcommittee set up by the M.C.C. for this purpose, and his delivery style was passed as fair.
