D. Bulloch, of Dunedin, won the men's title at the South Island croquet tournament at Timaru at the week-end when he beat R. Murfitt, of Christchurch, 26-18.

The women’s championship was won by Mrs L. G. Middlemiss (Pukekohe), who beat Mrs W. Walker (Timaru), 26-20. The fine form by many players continued over the week-end, Mrs Middlemiss scoring a break of 11 in the open chamiponship, and Mrs R. Richardson scoring an all-round break In the handicap singles.
