Darfield farm sold

A Darfield farm, which has been in the hands of the Clinton family for more than i 100 years, was sold by pubi lice auction for $630 an acre 'on Friday. The 268-acre farm has a 1970 capital valuation of $64,650. The property, on Clinton’s Road, has a three-bedroom weatherboard homestead and a three-bedroom cottage, as , well as a number of outbuildings. The auctioneer was Mr F. McD. Templeton, : of Pyne, Gould, GuinessJ Ltd.

A 14-year-old brick bungalow on a 32.9 perch section at 25 Staveley Street, Avonhead, was passed in at $25,000 when offered at public auction by L. R. Prenderville. It has a Government valuation (1971) of $9400 and the auctioneer was Mr L. B. Prenderville.
