Man improves
A 22-year-old trainee ranger Mr Richard Mandeno, is still seriously ill in Middlemore Hospital with bums he suffered a week ago when a burn-off near Mangakino trapped 14 men. The hospital reported his condition as "much better.” Mr Mandeno suffered 70 per cent burns. Three other men in Tokoroa Hospital are continuing to improve. and are in a satisfactory condition.
