The Rev. J. L. Barker has been appointed vicar of the Parish of Avonside, replacing the Ven. W. M. Davies. Mr Barker was ordained in 1963; and served his curacy in the; Parish of Merivale. From i 1965 to 1969 he was vicar! of Hororata, and since 1969 has been vicar of New Brighton. j
