Dialect
In Newfoundland they say:
“A $2 Saturday night special (cheap pistol) meaning anything shoddy.
Angishore — a weak, miserable person.
Bostoon — to complain loudly.
Clink — to beat another with the fists.
Duckish — the time between sunset and dark.
Fudge — to manage the daily chores along. Glutch — to swallow with difficulty. Pishogue — a yam, generally discredited. Sharoused — non-plussed. Twack — to examine goods and buy nothing.
Yarry — an early riser, alert.
And there are many more that New Zealanders already know.
