The information section of the British High Commission in Wellington reports that what is believed to be a world record price of £lO.OOO has been paid by an Oxfordshire farmer for a South Devon bull The bull, Durnaford Na-
poleon I. has gained 41b per day at the Meat and Livestock Commission’s ■ performance testing station near Taunton in Somerset. He weighed 11661 b at 300 days — nearly 1001 b more than his contemporaries. 1
