Control envisaged
The Japanese Government has decided to enforce standards on car-exhaust emissions from April, 1975. The standards will apply to new models produced after March. 1975. and to foreign cars imported after March, 1976. The discharge of pollutants per running kilometre will be restricted to 2.7 grammes of carbon monoxide, 0.39 grammes of hydrocarbons, and 1.6 grammes of nitrogen oxides for a passenger vehicle.—Tokyo, January 20,
