Victory hostess uniforms

Commonwealth Games victory hostesses from all over New Zealand were yesterday having the final fittings of their uniforms at the Christchurch firm of Cantwell Creations. The 25 hostesses each have » da> uniform consisting of three jumpsuits — one red. one white and one navy blue — a white bomber jacket with the Games symbol appliqued on the front, and two capes, one navy blue and the other red. to wear over the jumpsuits

The day uniforms are made in polyester fabric for easv laundering and hard wear The evening uniform is a long gown m white silk-look fabric with a red and blue stripe off one shoulder to the hem. It is sleeveless.

The day uniform also includes a close-fitting red. white and blue hat and white shoes

Designs for the uniform were done by an Auckland woman. Jane Daniels. Cantwell Creations added the capes
