Search off St Clair

f.V.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. Jan. 7. Dunedin searchers scanned the sea off St Clair beach in vain tonight for two people from a small boat reported to have sunk off shore. Two experienced search

and rexue officials said they were certain they had seen two people in the water soon after they arrived, but an extensive search brought no trace of them, or of a boat

Although no-one had been reported missing late tonight, the search and rescue organisation and nolice are treating the incident as serious and a further search will be made tomorrow morning.
