Hung Quinn to stay
(H.Z. Prest Association) AUCKLAND. “They obviously do not want New Zealand horses,” said C. S. Hunter, the trainer of Young Quinn, at Cambridge last night. He was emphatic that Young Quinn would not go to Perth for this year’s Inter-Dominion Championships. Hunter said it came as a shock that Young Quinn had been handicapped on 10m “He only entered open class in September and he has won none of the big ones since. “It is very strange that he received only five metres start from Welcome Advice and Hondo , Grattan, both of whom have won far more in stakes.”
It is likely that Arapaho will make the trip. His trainer, J. W Smolensk!, said he was not unhappy with the handicap of 20m. He added that it was possible another member of his team. Speedy Guest, would participate in the series.
