New belt

A new type of “no buckle” seat belt has been announced by a British firm. To fasten the new belt, the wearer takes hold of any part of the webbing, pulls the loop across to a central anchorage, and there clips it under a pivoted steel arm. The arm is released by pressing a button, and the belt then retracts onto a reel. As required by present British regulations, the belt can be fastened with one hand.
