Rustaveli took the eye in training at Woodville this morning in his final trial for the Pahiatua Cup. He is very fit. Fast work took place 30 feet out on the course proper, which was cutting out a little after rain.

Rustaveli coasted over 1200 m in Imin 18sec, the last 600 m in 38sec.

Tarua was keen to go faster alongside Rise And Fall when they went 1200 m in Imin 19 2-ssec, the final 600 m in 38 2-ssec. Whio galloped in his usual bold style c er 800 m in 51 2-ssec, the last 60um tn 37 3-ssec. He looks close to form.

Glengowan was sent over three easy rounds on the sand. He Is doing well in his preparation for Pahiatua next Wednesday. Count Kereru was also let off with easy ivork and is ready to race well the same day.
