Greymouth busy

The public relations office, in Greymouth is being kept' busy directing tourists to accommodation in the town.

An average of about 30 persons daily have been calling into the office seeking l accommodation. I The information officer (Mrs D. M. Hogg) said: “We have had to use private j homes for people on some days. We do this only when we cannot find hotel beds. “It was the busiest on New Year’s Eve. when there was hardly a spare bed in the; town."

Mrs Hogg expects the demand on accommodation to continue. The return to fine weather appears to be bring-; ing more and more visitors to the West Coast, and streets in Greymouth were thronged vesterdav. i
