Winsloe team favoured

“The Press" Special Service INVERCARGILL. The Gore trainer, E. A. Winsloe, who has won most the of the major handicap races in the south in recent weeks, looks likely to add to his record the Wyndham Cup, the main event and first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Wyndham Racing Club’s meeting today.

The meeting was to have been held on New Years Day but was postponed. Winsloe has both Magic Touch and Gi-A-Rook engaged, either of which is capable of winning. The second leg will be on the New Year Handicap, for which the Winsloe runner, Kurdarook, could be the favourite.

Not only could it be a stable double for Winsioe but Gi-A-Rook and Kurdarook are halfsisters, both owned by Mr and Mrs D. F. Turner. Selections are:—

2.30 p.m.—Novice Stakes: Flying Lomond, Magic Eye, Caladam.

3.10 p.m.—Members' Handicap: Atomic Fountain, Panagor, Ibo. 3.50 p.m.—Visitors' Highweight: Sundeu, Mellocian, Dunalister.

Amberley meeting.—The Amberlev Trotting Club’s annual non-tbtalisator meeting will be run on February 6 at Rangiora Raceway.

4.30 p.m.—President's Handicap: Pakistan Flight.

5.15 p.m.—Wyndham Cup: Magic Touch, GiA-Rook, Brown Satin. 5.55 p.m,—Trial Plate: Subaltern, Law, Free Head. 6.35 p.m.—New Year Handicap: Kurdarook, Trial Run, Anrod. 7.15 p.m.—E. J.
