Wanted men overseas
(N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM Two men sought by the police in connection with the ourglary of the Canvastown Post Office at the week-end of December 8-9 have left the country. About $5OO worth of postal notes and cheques were in the Post Office safe, since recovered without its contents in the Clarence River. The identity of the two men was now known but their present whereabouts were not. said Detective Sergeant D. R. Alexander, of Blenheim.
However, they were known to have left the country and are probably In Australia.
A vehicle taken from Christchurch before the burglary and still missing may have been used by the offenders.
It Is a light-coloured Volkswagen car with the registered number FJ2551. The first letter might have been altered to read E.
