It may have been a testimony to the quality of the i piano or perhaps it was I something to do with the size [of the hammers, but the 'piano-smashing record was [not seriously challenged in lan attempt at the Rangiora 'businessmen’s firework carnival.
The world record set by a ■six-man team was quoted as 2min 46sec. The Rangiora ■ team struggled through its [smashing in about 51min.
