Perth Cup to Allegation
(N.Z. Press Association) PERTH. Allegation, ridden a magnificent race by L. Rudland, outstayed his rivals to win the $lOO,OOO Perth Cup at the Ascot Racecourse yesterday. He beat Kofiooki, another locally trained galloper. Phar Ace was third and Craig Win fourth. Leica Lover, the heavilybacked favourite, was never in the race. He dropped out of the running 1200 m from the finish.
The top-weight, Baghdad Note, looked a chance on the home turn but failed to run on.
