The South Island O.S.C.A. series is now led by K. Haig with 24 points to the 10 points of T. Crowe, and the nine of G. Baker. Haig leads class A with 21. points, P. Pascoe leads class B with 15, and L. Neilson leads class C with 18.
Australian drag-strip drivers are expected to compete at the new $120,000 Pukekohe Hot Rod Club- track at Meremere in January. The track, 50 miles south of Auckland, is on a 50-acre site, and crowds of up to 12,000 are expected to attend future meetings. There are now 18 definite starters for the New Zealand events in the Stuyvesant series. Those who have signed firm contracts are: G. Mcßae (N.Z.), Mcßae GM2; P. Gethin (U.K.), Chevron 824; S.
