TWO RIDERS INJURED
(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA Two jockeys were taken to hospital after a fall in the Improvers’ Maiden at Rotorua yesterday. D. Raklander, the rider of Perseiie, was admitted for observation although he suffered no broken bones, and B. Thomson (Rodalien) was treated for a broken collarbone and discharged. An inquiry into the incident has not been completed, B. S. Compton, the rider of Nunui in the Visitors’ Handicap, was fined $75 for interference about the 600 m mark. The horse most affected by the incident ■ was Inca Gold.
