Tour averages
(N.Z P.A. Staff Correspondent i MELBOURNE. The New Zealand wicket-keeper K. F. Wadsworth, on the basis of one match played on the tour so far, heads the New Zealand cricket team’s batting averages after four first-class matches. Wadsworth, unfit from the after-effects of mumps for the first three matches, returned to play against South Australia and scored 50 not out in the first innings and 25 in ] the second. This gives Wadsworth an aggregate and average of 75. TOP .SCORER M. J. F. Shrimpton. who has scored two centuries on; the tour, is second in the] averages, with 60, and easily] heads the aggregates, on 360, ] more than 100 ahead nf.) M. i Parker.
