Seaman found hurt in ship
f.V.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Dec. 25. A Hong Kong seaman, Kan Sui Chan, was in a serious condition in Wellington Hospital this evening after being found with extensive injuries in the hold of his ship at King’s Wharf on Monday I morning. I He is thought to have ? fallen 50 feet into the hold ! of the motor vessel Soochow. [lt is not known how long |he lay in the hold before he I was discovered.
He suffered a broken leg, broken arm, severe lacerations to his head, severe shock, and concussion. The Soochow belongs to I the China Navigation Company and is registered in j London.
