Slack markets drift in Australia
Industrial share prices were mixed on Australian exchanges yesterday, while miners and oils drifted lower in slack trading, with buyers at a premium.
Falls outnumbered rises in; all sectors, and the few gains were mainly marginal. B.H.P. picked up 2c in Melbourne, and 4c in Sydney, to sell at 716 c and 714 c. In Melbourne A.C.I. firmed 2c to 220 c. Philip Morris was one of the highlights, with gains of 6c in Sydney, and 10c in Melbourne, to 686 c and 690 c. i In Melbourne Comalco lost 110 c, in sales at 190 c.
