Falls predominate in Australia
Prices drifted slowly downwards in quiet trading on Australian exchanges yesterday. At the end of the day falls were only slightly more numerous than rises and most price moves were in a 1c to 5c category.
B.H.P. was 2c down ati 1706 c after having touched' 712 c earlier. C.S.R. was 3cl lower at 382 c while in the mining sector Western Mining firmed 1c to 124 c and Woodside Burmah rose 1c to 164 c.
