Obituary MR A. J. HASTINGS
Mr A. J. Hastings, starter for the three Christchurch trotting clubs from 1926 until 1957, died in Christchurch on Tuesday. He was 90. Mr Hastings also acted as starter for most other trotting clubs in Canterbury, and also on the West Coast and in Otago and Wellington. Mr Hastings started his association with horses in Southland, where he was a successful rider and reinsman.
