Race cancelled
and Stanton.
The tube race which has proved popular on the Buller River in recent times has been cancelled this year by the Westport Yacht and Power-Boat Club because of the fuel crisis. The patrol boats necessary for the event use quite a lot of fuel. There is a possibility that the race will be held early next year if the fuel position improves. —(F.0.0.R.)
