Mafia sells petrol
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEW YORK, Dec. 3. The Carlo Gambino Mafia family had started making regular deliveries of black market petrol to New York city bowsers, “Time” magazine reported today. Some bowsers have dubbed the gas “Gambinoil,” according to “Time.” The magazine said that Gambino mobsters stole fuel from several bulk plants in the area and sold it at 7c a gallon more than the legitimate distributors’ price.
