The time for the partridge to install itself in the pear tree is getting nearer and nearer and the time for most of us to prepare ourselves for that happy season is here. All the goodies of Christmas time such as cake, pudding, mincemeat and cookies to fill the jars should be prepared. The Scandinavian countries indulge in a wondrous selection of Christmas cookies perhaps because the celebration of the festival continues for a month and hostesses need these sweetmeats for their entertainment of friends and relatives. I have selected some of the recipes used there and 1 am confident you will find them exciting and deliciously different.
